Herrings

Delicious Herrings caught in the North East Atlantic.

Herrings are one of the most abundantly found fish. To maintain a healthy stock, fishing seasons are limited to November - January and July - September. All our Herring are caught in the North East Atlantic.

Once the catch is made, the fish are landed in the Irish port of Killybegs. They are then carefully transported the short distance to the local canning plant in Co Donegal where they are traditionally hand-packed and distributed nationwide.

Nutritionally they serve as a rich source of vitamin D and Omega 3 fatty acids.
